Award time!

Country music's best and brightest stars are headed to Las Vegas for Sunday night's Academy of Country Music Awards, and all eyes are on Kenny Chesney who has nearly twice as many nominations -- with 11 -- as the next highest nominee, Rodney Atkins. Should Kenny take home the Entertainer of the Year trophy, it will make his fourth consecutive win -- tying him with Garth Brooks -- but there is something else that makes him even more proud. He tells us, "When I look into the audience and try to look into the eyes of everybody that are coming to see us, I can see that they believe what we're saying and that our music has been believable. That's what makes me the proudest." Besides his artist nominations, Kenny is also being recognized for his writing and producing.

Rodney Atkins follows with six nominations, including the high-profile Top Male Vocalist and Album of the Year. Brad Paisley, Big and Rich and Sugarland have four nominations, while Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift, who lead the female nominations, each garnered three nods, with both in the running for Album of the Year.

Rascal Flatts, who could win their sixth trophy for Top Vocal Group (tying Alabama), will receive the Home Depot Humanitarian Award, which recognizes artists who serve others, have a generous spirit and help build the dreams of those in need. Garth Brooks will also be presented with the first Crystal Milestone Award given to an artist or industry leader to commemorate a specific, remarkable achievement. With his recent recognition of selling 123-million units, this makes Garth the top-selling solo artist in U-S history.

Special performances include Kenny and George Strait together on their duet "Shiftwork." This marks the first time they pair have performed the song live. Kellie Pickler will debut a new single "Don't You Know You're Beautiful." Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn are also among the performers, and amidst the traditional country presenters are Criss Angel, Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw, and Kelly Cuoco.

Reba McEntire takes the hosting duties for the 10th year on Sunday night's A-C-M Awards airing live from Las Vegas at 7pm on C-B-S, Cox HD 706.
